It all began with a simple stitch. What started as a way to ease anxiety through embroidery—something Rachelle learned from her grandmother—soon turned into Lingua Franca. The brand began with hand-stitched, sustainably-sourced cashmere sweaters made by women in NYC. Over time, LF expanded to include custom embroidered items, seasonal collections, accessories, and even wallpaper. Rachelle hopes the company will continue to grow, staying engaged with the world while adding to it, embracing humor, celebrating the absurd, and inspiring joy.
